Recenzia – Goresoerd – „Antikeha“ -Death Metal/Grindcore/ Estonia – 2016

English version

Today, we’re going to present one album that’s already been released for a while. The album „An-tikeha“ alias Antitelo from the Estonian band Goresoerd was released at the end of 2016. This band was for me unknown two weeks ago. I received a digital copy and this band quickly caught my heart and soul. The band was founded in 2004 at the beginning only as an entertainment project. After some time the group became a regular band. They have gone through some phase with parody songs, but after 12 years, they turned into a very decent mixture of death metal with grindcore ele-ments. Because the band was unknown to me, so I used channels like youtube, a bandcamp to get to know the production of this Estonian band. After listening to the Antikeha album multiple times, I realized with why I like it so much. It is mainly the simplicity and the directness of the death metal, sometimes deathroll songs. Songs are sung in the Estonian language, which adding songs the right feeling. So some words to the album itself. The cover is in green colors with some pill (I cannot de-fine what is that exactly). The album contains 9 death metal songs with occasional grind elements. The band do not play with it. Guitars are greatly complementing and create harmonic compositions ending in “battles of soloes”. Extremely well ripped riff lines with the help of samplings make up a great deal of tone. Vocal is mixed with groovie, growling to grind and with the admixture of drum-ming artillery, we have a death metal ideal for relax. Songs are sung in Estonian laguage as men-tioned before and it gives a special and unique atmosphere, so the album is not a gray average. So this would be my view of Goresoerd’s Antikeha album. If you were interested in this review, the band itself will answer questions in my interview about the album and they will also reveal the past and the future plans.
